Conker Toasts Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur Refresh

Dorset’s craft distillers Conker have given their multi-award-winning Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur an exciting brand refresh including an eye-catching packaging makeover ahead of the summer cocktail season.

Distributed by Love Drinks, Conker Distillery has enjoyed an emphatic rise from regional, small-batch gin start-up to a nationally recognised multi-discipline distillery and much-loved brand in just eight years.

The first UK-produced cold brew coffee liqueur, Conker Coffee Liqueur has quickly become the company’s most ground-breaking spirit, helping to redefine the coffee liqueur category from a flavour, quality and sustainability perspective.

The refresh, striking new packaging and revamped website aims to further enhance the brand’s authentic coffee roasting identity and better communicate its point of difference as the world’s most sustainable coffee liqueur.

In addition to highlighting the brand’s revolutionary, never-fail, speedy one-ingredient Espresso Martini, the new website also shines a light on Conker’s craft distilling, coffee roasting, ethical sourcing, coffee bean recycling and refill & re-use initiative.

To celebrate the Conker Coffee Liqueur brand refresh and the completion of renovations at the company HQ, a Shake Up launch party is being held at the Distillery on the 23rd April from 6pm – 9pm, followed by a Shake Down after party at Velo Domestique in Southbourne from 9pm – midnight.

Commenting on the re-brand, Founder Rupert Holloway, who gave up a promising career as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to start the business in 2015, said:

“The reaction to Conker Coffee Liqueur has been incredible since launch and we believe its uniqueness, superior coffee quality and sustainability credentials offer huge growth potential in the coming years. The rebrand gives us a fresh new look, improved on-shelf visibility and provides a clear platform for Conker Coffee Liqueur to shine from within our innovative portfolio of craft spirits. We’re confident the refresh will help us reach and engage with even more discerning, planet-conscious coffee lovers in the UK and in international markets around the world.”

Samantha Burke, Managing Director of Love Drinks, said:

“A multi-disciplined distillery, Conker continue to go from strength to strength thanks to their innovation and passion for quality. The Dorset Dry, Navy Strength and Port-Barrel gins are now much-loved throughout the UK and in my opinion, there is nothing that gets close to the Conker Coffee Liqueur, when it comes to depth of flavour and sustainability.  This exciting refresh will only strengthen the brand’s presence, reach and customer engagement.”

Conker Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur – Ethical Craft Coffee for the Cocktail

Helping to reinvent the coffee liqueur category for people who appreciate great coffee but not at the expense of others and the planet, Conker works directly with changemakers in the ethical coffee industry, sourcing beans from small independent farmers in Shakisso, Ethiopia and Mococa, Brazil.

Ensuring farmers are paid a good wage in order to help local supply chains, businesses and communities prosper in the long-term, it also guarantees Conker with supply of the finest, sustainable, hand-picked coffee beans.

Once the speciality forest-grown coffee beans have arrived in the UK, Conker roast the coffees and use a secret cold brew process to perfect the flavour and consistency of Conker Coffee Liqueur without the need for the usual flavourings or additives.  As craft distillers and coffee roasters, they have absolute control on all aspects of the craft distilling and roasting to marry the coffee to a spirit it deserves.

New packaging for the Conker Decaf Coffee Liqueur, which was launched in 2020 as a world-first, features speciality Columbian and Brazilian coffees from the Mogiana and Tolima regions, will be following later this year.

About Conker Distillery

Set up in April 2015 by Founder Rupert Holloway, who at 29 took the leap from a career in Construction to launch Dorset’s first gin distillery.

Nearly eight years later, the multi-discipline distillery in Bournemouth produces three award-winning Dorset Gins (Dorset Dry, Navy Strength and Port Barrel-Aged), an innovative, distilled non-alcoholic spirit (Bowser LEAF), the world’s most sustainable coffee liqueur and world’s only decaf coffee liqueur.

Passionate foragers, distillers and coffee roasters, the company prides itself in its ethos of ‘genuine craft’, handcrafting its spirits in small batches to ensure no shortcuts or compromises are taken when it comes to the artisan processes, ingredients and the taste quality.

Whether it’s the finest British wheat spirit, New Forest spring water, foraged botanicals from across the Dorset coast or ethically sourced speciality coffee from small independent Brazilian, Columbian and Ethiopian farmers, the company uses only the finest sustainable ingredients.

In the Off-trade, Conker’s eclectic craft spirits are already available in Waitrose, Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Masters of Malt, The Whisky Exchange and Amazon with the brand also growing in the On-trade nationally through listings in Fullers, Hall & Woodhouse, Mitchells & Butlers and a multitude of independent bars, restaurants and hotels.
