Cotswolds Distillery is delighted to announce today the release of the first expression in its second Field to Cask Series, Woodlands Farm Whisky.
This limited release of 126 bottles, is the first expression in the second Field to Cask Series, a tribute to the local farms and landscapes that shaped the character of each whisky.
This series begins with a cask matured at Woodlands Farm in Long Compton, located just a few miles from the distillery and is an ode to quiet maturation. Sheltered by hills and softened by seasons the spirit matured gently in a rural barn, allowing nature and time to guide its character.
This single malt delivers a bold, flavour-rich dram drawn from a single shaved, toasted, and re-charred cask and offers vibrant notes of fresh strawberries, coconut, and a dusting of cinnamon.
Two further expressions will be released later this year, completing the second Field to Cask Series. Each single cask bottling honours a real location that has played a meaningful role in the production journey, from the barley fields where it begins, to the farm buildings where it matures. This highlights the role of place in shaping Cotswolds Distillery Whisky, underscoring its commitment to provenance, traceability, and terroir.
