Coupette collaborates with local talent for new cocktail menu

Coupette Summer menu

London cocktail bar Coupette has launched its ‘Summer’ cocktail list, the first in a new series of seasonal menus formed in partnership with creative figures from the Bethnal Green area.

For the first iteration of the menu, Coupette’s founder Chris Moore has collaborated with local lettering artist and sign writer Ged Palmer.

The new offering bursts with “fresh fragrances”. Strawberries & Cream, for example, “evokes the finest bowl of Wimbledon berries”, made with strawberry eau de vie, rosé vermouth and wine with a creamy vanilla-scented, clarified milk punch finish.

The theme of memory has also inspired ‘Summer’. Shimmer, which features 30&40 Eau de Vie, green apple, sage, wine, genepi and sage soda, has been designed to conjure memories of visiting the ocean on a summer holiday.

Other concoctions come in the form of Board Room, with Hennessy Cognac and Dubonnet mixed with walnut, cherry, coffee and smoke, and Obsidian, which draws on themes of lava and stone, contrasting cocoa with passion fruit and infusing the drink with edible clay.
