Darling & Edge launches new basement cocktail bar

Cockatiel Club from Darling & Edge

Hackney Wick-based immersive set design studio Darling & Edge has opened a new drinking and dining destination in London.

The basement cocktail bar, named Cockatiel Club, launched to the public on November 15. Situated in a hidden spot below Hello Darling, Darling & Edge’s playful restaurant, and Darling House, an experimental house party style bar, the venue beings a “new whimsical cocktail club and dancefloor” to Waterloo.

Customers can expect an “intimate and quirky” bar decked out with “glossy black interiors, exuberant animal print upholstery and mirrors on the ceiling”.

The drinks menu will feature a new winter cocktail menu, with all serves named after birds, including the Phenix, made from amaretto, whiskey and brandy with chocolate and burnt orange bitters.

The Cockatiel Club will be open Monday to Saturday from 5pm until midnight, with space for 60 guests available for private hire.
