Deniss Trifanovs wins Roadhouse flair bartending competition

Deniss Trifanovs who works for Latvian events company Martandi has won first place in the Roadhouse flair bartending competition.

Deniss is fairly new to the flair bartending scene and at only 23 years old is already competing with experts who have been flair bartending for many years.

Every last Sunday of the month, the Roadhouse in London’s Covent Garden dedicates a night to those working in the service industry, which plays host to a flair bartending competition, organised by the World Flair Association.

On Sunday 26th February, 25 of the best flair bartenders in the world flew in to compete for £1,000 and the coveted Roadhouse glass globe trophy.

Deniss said it was well worth flying in from Latvia for the competition. “I’m super happy to win the freestyle competition. It was well worth the trip! I love competing at Roadhouse because the crowd is full of bartenders that appreciate great flair. I’m looking forward to coming back.”

Taking the first spot, means Deniss has won a place at the Roadhouse Grand Final in November where he has the chance to walk away with first prize of £10,000 and the title of Best Flair Bartender in the world.

This month, the Asian Open will take place on March 26, and bartenders will be flying in from the Far East, with the top three guaranteed a place in the November Grand Final. All bartenders are welcome to attend the monthly event for a fun night with other industry professionals. For more details visit or
