Desi Daru Unveils Culture Colliders Cocktail Competition

Desi Daru, the award-winning vodka brand that blends the best of Indian and British ingredients, is thrilled to announce the launch of their new cocktail competition: Desi Daru Culture Colliders. This new competition aims to bring together the best bartending talent from across the UK to showcase their creativity and skill in crafting innovative cocktails, with a twist.

Desi Daru Culture Colliders is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of cultural fusion and artistic expression in mixology. Bartenders are invited to create unique cocktails using the brand’s multi award-winning Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka as the hero ingredient, while infusing their creations with elements that represent both traditional British and Indian flavours. This fusion of cultures reflects the brand’s ethos of embracing diversity and heritage.

Founder of Desi Daru, Mohit Singh shared, “We are beyond excited to introduce Desi Daru Culture Colliders as a platform for bartenders to explore the flavours and inspiration that define our brand. We have received such incredible feedback from on the on-trade about our vodkas, particularly our Alphonso Mango flavour, so we can’t wait to see the innovative cocktails that emerge from it.”

The competition is open to bartenders of all levels across the UK, offering them the opportunity to showcase their talents and be in with the chance of winning a £2,000 cash prize as well as a trip to the distillery, a Michelin star meal for 2 and of course the first ever Culture Colliders trophy. Participants are encouraged to push the boundaries of mixology, experimenting with unique ingredients and techniques to create cocktails that showcase the best of Desi Daru and tell a captivating story.

“We are looking for cocktails that not only taste exceptional but also embody the spirit of Desi Daru – a fusion of tradition and innovation,” added Singh. “Desi Daru Culture Colliders is a platform for bartenders to express themselves creatively and to celebrate the cultural diversity that inspires our brand.”

Submissions need to include a minimum of 40ml of Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka, and need to include one Indian-inspired ingredient and one Britishinspired ingredient, and will be blind judged on the cocktail’s serve and story. After the blind judging, finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their cocktails in front of the panel of esteemed judges at a grand final event in London, where the winners will be crowned.
