Drinks group Diageo has appointed Jack Sotti (pictured) as the new UK senior brand ambassador for its World Class cocktail competition and super-premium gin, Tanqueray.
Jack joins Diageo Reserve after spending the last six years in Melbourne, where the tight-knit and highly competitive bartending community opened his eyes to craft cocktails.
He became the general manager for Eau de Vie and Partner of Boilermaker House, and has also worked in both London and Auckland where he mastered his hospitality skills to become a team leader, bartender, host and venue manager.
Jack’s introduction to World Class and Tanqueray started in 2015 when he won the Diageo World Class Bartender of The Year competition in Australia. Following this, he was placed third in the world after creating the world’s first levitating cocktail.
Since 2015, Jack has spent three years travelling around the world gaining an insight into the global hospitality scene, visiting hundreds of high end cocktail bars around the world.
As the UK Senior Brand Ambassador for World Class and Tanqueray, Jack will take on the important role of managing and developing the World Class programme, as well as raising brand awareness for Tanqueray.
Jack said: “I’m incredibly excited about my new role as UK senior brand ambassador for World Class and Tanqueray. It’s an honour to have been provided with the opportunity to work for such a prestigious company, alongside an incredibly talented team.
“I can’t wait to lead the World Class brand ambassador team and start tapping into the amazing bartender community here in the UK.
“My aim is to bring the World Class competition to every bars doorstep through the continuous growth and popularity of World Class as a brand. We’ve got some really exciting activations taking place this year for Tanqueray and I’m looking forward to working with what is already an iconic brand within the Diageo Reserve portfolio.”
