Roberto Cavalli has become the latest fashion designer to create a new limited-edition bottle for Italian liqueur Disaronno.
Influenced by undersea worlds and exotic safari locations, the bottle is draped in a new graphic animal print, drawing inspiration from the Roberto Cavalli spring/summer 2015 Pre Collection.
To mark the launch, a twist on a classic Disaronno Sour has been created by Disaronno UK brand ambassador Rod Eslamieh and US director of brand ambassadors, Paul Sevigny, using prosecco and Angostura bitters.
It is third partnership with an Italian fashion brand as part of the Disaronno Icon project after limited-edition bottles with Moschino and Versace. The project continues its long-time support for charity, Fashion 4 Development, which is sponsored by the United Nations.
This means Disaronno will once again donate part of the proceeds to that charity which helps fight poverty and provide assistance to millions of women and children in the developing world.
Augusto Reina, chief executive of brand owner Illva Saronno, said: “To include Cavalli in the list of our collaborations is a real honour and a truly special moment in the history of our brand.”
Renato Semerari, chief executive of Roberto Cavalli, said “We are excited to join Illva Saronno in this initiative. Two of the most well-known brands made in Italy getting together is always worth celebrating.”
