Divine chocolates inspire bar’s new cocktails

four sisters divineLondon bar The Four Sisters has teamed up with Divine Chocolate to create cocktails to celebrate Chocolate Week 2013.

The three drinks are inspired by the chocolate maker’s two new flavours, Chilli and Orange and Toffee and Sea Salt, as well as its popular 85% Dark Chocolate.

Andrei Marian, head bartender at The Four Sisters in Canonbury Lane, Islington, has created drinks that reflect and enhance the rich textures and aromas of the flavours, serving each with a piece of the Divine chocolate it represents.

Available throughout October, they tie in with national Chocolate Week from October 14 to 20.

The Divine Dark Chocolate Cup combines Four Sisters’ own vanilla-infused Martell cognac, tobacco liqueur, the bar’s vanilla and rum syrup and Mozart Chocolate Bitters, echoing the smooth, deep and sweet notes found in Divine 85% Dark Chocolate.

The Divine Toffee & Sea Salt Martini mixes El Jimador Blanco tequila with butterscotch schnapps, red grapefruit juice and the bar’s own chilli syrup to create the epitome of Divine’s new Milk Chocolate with Toffee and Sea Salt with its fruity yet savoury tones.

The Divine Chilli & Orange Martini reflects Divine 70% Dark Chocolate with Chilli and Orange through the zesty and tangy richness of Monte Alban mezcal, Cointreau, dark crème de cacao and Four Sisters’ chilli syrup.

Bar owner Simon Bastable said: “At Four Sisters we love to experiment. Chocolate definitely promotes the happy hormone in us so we thought what better way to complement the taste experience than with a flavour-matched cocktail that tastes like the chocolate you are about to eat.

“We want our cocktails to challenge our customers’ curiosity and put their palates to the test.”

The exclusive Divine Chocolate cocktails will be available throughout October 2013 priced at £8 each.
