The award-winning Doghouse Distillery is opening the doors to its first bar at 10 Clapham Common Southside. Pouring a range of spirits made from scratch just over a mile away in Battersea, and serving London’s largest Old Fashioned menu, the Doghouse Distilery Bar is a unique new space for London spirit lovers to enjoy.
Opening on 1st May 2026, guests can choose between drinking amongst over 40 racked whisky barrels upstairs – an extension of the distillery itself, or heading downstairs to the lowlit honky-tonk speakeasy that feels like you have stumbled into a bar in Nashville.
By day the venue has the feel of a proper local’s pub, by night a buzzing cocktail bar. The speakeasy basement is the perfect space for private events, masterclasses and open mic nights.
The Doghouse Distillery Bar is the brainchild of Katherine and Braden Saunders, Clapham residents and co-founders of Doghouse Distillery – London’s only multi-category craft distillery making gin, vodka, aperitivo and whisky all under one roof, from grain to bottle.
The drinks list is built around the Doghouse spirits portfolio: Renegade Gin, Baller Vodka, Baller ‘Chilli Bacon’ Vodka, Doppelgänger Aperitivo and Debt Collector Moonshine and Whisky – London’s first American-style corn whisky made from 100% British grain.
For whisky lovers, the bar is home to London’s largest Old Fashioned menu – covering every flavour profile from sweet to smoky and everything in between. There are also Whisky Tasting Flights and Old Fashioned Flights served on actual barrel staves.
The Whisky Flight takes guests through the full Doghouse Whisky range, from Unaged Moonshine through to the Whisky itself. The Old Fashioned Flight lets guests work their way through a selection of mini serves from the menu. And do not leave without trying Debt Collector Whisky with freshly squeezed apple juice, pressed to order at the bar.
Cocktails are priced between £9 and £12, reflecting the fact that there is no middleman between the distillery and the bar. There will also be pints from local south London breweries including Mondo and Belleville, as well as the mighty Guinness and big sporting events on when it matters. Any spirits not made by Doghouse are sourced from small independent producers, prioritising London, British and small businesses wherever possible.
On the food side, the kitchen is keeping things simple but doing it properly: gourmet toasted sandwiches, charcuterie, cheeseboards and Ploughman’s with a good dose of pickles. Think jellied pickles, pickle of the week and picklebacks served with the Doghouse Moonshine.
Come evening, the lights go down and the music goes up – the bar moves into full cocktail mode, with live music Thursday through Saturday and plans for weekly honky-tonk nights.
“This is not our first venue – we ran a busy and successful micro-brew pub in Brisbane before moving to London to start Doghouse, and we have missed it. The atmosphere, the service, the food and drinks done properly. We are incredibly excited to be bringing something special and unique to Clapham,”
Since 2018 Katherine and Braden have also run successful summer mini-festivals at the distillery. Doghouse Distillery Bar is the natural next step.
Doghouse Distillery Bar opens to the public on 1 May 2026.
