Double Dutch draws on seasonal flavours for new tonic

Premium mixer brand Double Dutch is expanding its range of innovative flavours with the launch of its first limited edition tonic, Spices & Oakwood.

Experimenting with seasonal tastes and flavouring, it is a blend of cinnamon, cloves, star anise and nutmeg, giving a fruitiness to the palate, which is then balanced by sweet vanilla notes.

The oak wood, traditionally used to age wine and spirits, brings a woody flavour to the mixer. The spicy notes are expected to appeal particularly to mulled wine fans.

Available until March next year, the limited edition is said to be a perfect mixer for spicy gins and dark spirits such as whisky and rum.

Created by twin sisters Joyce and Raissa de Haas, Double Dutch is made in the UK with no artificial flavouring, colouring or preservatives. They use only natural ingredients including high-quality spring water from the north of England.

The Spices & Oakwood Tonic has the lowest calorie content out of all the range with only 42 calories per 200ml bottle.

Other variants in the range include Pomegranate & Basil, Cucumber & Watermelon, Cranberry Tonic Water, Indian Tonic Water and Slimline Indian Tonic Water.

The new tonic is available from major distributors including LWC, Beer Cellars, Venus, HT Champers, Casa Julia among others.
