Drake & Morgan has revealed more details about the second bar that it is preparing to open in Manchester.
Due to open this summer, The Anthologist in the One St Peter’s Square development will cover 6,000 square feet and offer 185 covers in the bar and restaurant.
It is being designed by Fusion Design and Architecture, the team behind all of Drake & Morgan’s bars and restaurants, and will showcase the group’s signature features including a large statement bar, a mix of traditional dining and lounge seating, banquettes and booths as well as distinctive dining and lounge areas.
The all-day drinking and dining destination will trade seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, offering a choice of seasonal dishes, flatbreads and sharing boards as well as small plates, gourmet sandwiches and burgers.
An extensive wine list will sit alongside premium spirits, craft beers and ciders and an evolving cocktail list featuring contemporary as well as classic creations, characterised by ingredients such as seasonal berries, herbs, vegetables and flowers.
An extended, innovative range of zero-proof drinks will include “super skinnies” coming in at under 50 calories.
Managing director Jillian MacLean said: “Manchester is a modern and vibrant city that Drake & Morgan loves being a part of, and we are confident that The Anthologist will provide the city with a refreshingly independent bar that comes with a few new exciting additions for our lovely customers.”
The Anthologist will be Drake & Morgan’s 23rd site and its second in Manchester after opening The Refinery in Spinningfields in November 2016.
One St Peter’s Square is a new office development covering 271,000 square feet in the heart of Manchester city centre, part of a £185 million development of the area.
