Drake & Morgan supports expansion with first property director

Drake & Morgan King's Cross

Bar group Drake & Morgan has created the new role of property director to support its continuing plans to expand both in London and throughout the rest of the UK.

Marcus Brownlow has nearly 25 years’ experience in the property sector, most recently as head of acquisitions at café chain Eat, opening 20 new sites in his two-and-a-half years in the role.

Before that, he was at railway food and bar specialist SSP UK, contract caterer Compass Group and, in his first job, property manager and then property director at Coffee Republic.

He will take up his new role in late November and will be responsible for driving the acquisition pipeline of sites in London and across the UK.

The group operates nine venues around London after opening Drake & Morgan at King’s Cross in September (pictured). It is to open its first site outside of London next year in the St Andrew Square development in Edinburgh and has more in the pipeline in London and around the UK.
