El Bandarra unveils rosé vermouth

El Bandarra Rosé Vermut

Craft vermouth brand El Bandarra has launched a new Vermut Rosé, which will be making its UK debut at Imbibe Live at Olympia on July 1 and 2.

Joining the Red and White variants in the El Bandarra range, the pink Vermut Rosé is made with locally-grown rosé grenache, macerated red fruit and fresh herbs, including thyme and rosemary.

According to its makers, the new 15% ABV expression is “the lightest and freshest” of the trio, containing 30% less sugar. It starts with vanilla flavours, followed by layers of strawberries and ripe cherries on the palate and finishing with “a beautiful acidity from the altitude of the grapes”.

With help from The Vermouth Van and Bandarra Fountain, the El Bandarra team will be recreating a Barcelona terrace outside the front entrance of Imbibe Live to help visitors discover how to enjoy vermouth – the El Bandarra way.

The El Bandarra trio will be showcased in classic Catalonian tradition – straight up over ice, with olives and a slice, as well as in the Bandarra Rosé & Tonic (B&T).

El Bandarra co-founder Alex Virgili said: “We won’t rest until vermut is being celebrated across the world so we have a lot of big plans to continue stealing more drinkers away from other drinks categories and to ensure the vermouth category is the most exciting around.

“Our unique Vermut fountain is on its way to the UK, the Vermouth Van is good to go and this new Rosé, which has been two years in the making, is the cherry on top! Sweet, refreshing and so very moreish, it’s going to be huge!”

Kirsty Loveday, founder of Love Drinks, which distributes El Bandarra in the UK, added: “As a company we love to challenge the status quo and disrupt so it’s fantastic to work with likeminded spirits such as the El Bandarra crew.

“They are doing a brilliant job showcasing vermouth as the fun adventurous drink that it is, so we’re so excited about the summer ahead.

“The new Rosé is a brilliant example of El Bandarra’s innovative team and further strengthens our offering as the buzz for vermouth and all things pink increases.”

The new Vermut Rosé is available in a 1 litre swing top bottle, 15 litre ‘bag in box’ and 30 litre kegs.
