Elephant Gin adds limited-edition sloe gin

Elephant Sloe Gin

The makers of Elephant Gin, which is inspired by the flavours of Africa, have released a limited-edition sloe gin.

Elephant Sloe Gin combines the taste of the brand’s premium London Dry Gin with the classic flavour of fresh sloe berries. Macerated in the gin for several months, these wild berries add a richly rounded, lightly sweet and fruity bouquet as well as a typical warm red colour to the spirit.

Compared to other sloe gins, it has a relatively low sugar content as well as a higher ABV of 35%. This makes it suited to mixing in cocktails as well as enjoying neat.

Elephant Gin, with ABV of 45%, is made in Germany with 14 botanicals, including rare African ingredients. It was launched by husband and wife duo, Robin and Tessa Gerlach, in 2013.

The company contributes 15% of all proceeds from both the London dry gin and the sloe gin to two African elephant foundations to support preservation.
