Entrepreneurs to open first of new group of bars in Yorkshire

Two entrepreneurs are set to open the first of 10 new bar and dining venues in and around Yorkshire over the next seven years.

Adam Lewis (pictured right), director of Twisted Bars, has joined forces with Paul Glendinning (left), a regional insurance group CEO, to take over the lease of a 3,200 sq ft site in Guiseley, north-west of Leeds.

They are investing £250,000 into converting the former Cellar V café, bar and music venue into Everybodys All Day Social, a new bar and dining concept, creating 30 jobs in the town.

They are already looking for sites for opening around nine other similar bars in the region in the next seven years.

Adam said: “Guiseley has been crying out for more quality bars and eateries, and our vision is to offer something for everyone.

“We’ll be opening for coffee and brunch in the morning, and serving food throughout the day and into the early evening.

“Sunday lunch will be a big deal for us, and we’ll be creating a tempting menu and friendly atmosphere that we hope will attract families, couples and people looking for a working lunch, as well as those heading out in the evening for drinks with friends or family.”

Everybodys All Day Social is set to open in Otley Road, Guiseley, in the spring. The refurbishment will see 1,150 square feet of previously unused outside space opened up for customer use, and the creation of a function room for private hire.

Adam has spent the last 20 years working in the hospitality industry, opening his first bar 13 years ago. He previously ran Professional Events Yorkshire, the company behind the hugely successful Tour De France Hub for Bradford Council, and he owns The Yard in Ilkley in West Yorkshire and in Malton in North Yorkshire.

Paul began his career in catering and, alongside forging a successful career in the family insurance business, has always had ambitions to open a bar.
