Entries open for Beluga Signature 2019

Beluga Signature

Beluga Vodka has announced the launch of the fourth edition of its on-trade multistage bartender programme Beluga Signature.

This year, the educational and competitive programme will build on the theme of delivering luxury experiences to guests.

To begin, bartenders are required to submit a classic vodka cocktail with a local twist by 28 February 2018.

As a result of the online shortlisting, 30 participants from each country will receive a full day of education from industry experts, including Beluga Signature educational director Philip Duff and Marian Beke of The Gibson.

Following the educational stage, the Beluga Signature Bartender School attendees will create and submit another drink. Ten shortlisted contestants from each country will then have to present their creations in front of the panel of judges in May.

In September, seven global finalists will travel to Moscow and compete for the title of Beluga Signature global ambassador.

On top of representing Beluga at global industry events such as Bar Convent Berlin, Tales of the Cocktails, Bar Convent Brazil, the winner will receive a one week internship in one of the 50 World’s Best Bars.

Philp said: “The hospitality industry is centred on the guest whose satisfaction is a main marker of success in a bartender’s career.

“Last year the seminars were about building a profitable bar, reading your guests and creating cutting-edge flavours using avant-garde techniques.

“This year we will talk about consistency of the luxury service, creating a memorable experience for your guest and, most importantly, applying your creativity consistently.”
