Bar specialist Arribar! has won the contract to run two bars at this year’s Glastonbury Festival – its fifth time for the event.
It will operate two destination bars, Rock the Kasbah and Chameleon, for Avalon Bars & Events, which runs the Somerset performing arts festival that takes place from June 24 to 28.
The bars, located along the main walkways between major stages, will offer chill-out spaces and places to party as well as a grab-and-go service for people rushing to see the next band.
Rock the Kasbah (pictured) will open from 10am until 2am and offer festival goers a Moroccan-style experience, with a relaxed atmosphere and a themed set transporting guests to the heart of Marrakech.
With rich textures and bold colours, guests will be able to sit outside at any time of the day and enjoy their chilled drinks in a rustic setting.
Chameleon will open from 11am until 3am each day, with eclectic seating and abstract scenery. As its name suggests, the bar transforms from a cool and quirky daytime hang-out to a club nightspot in the evening when resident Propaganda DJs take over.
Both bars will have indoor and outdoor space to cater for all weather conditions.
Tom Curtis, general manager for Arribar!, said: “These themed bars have been hugely popular in previous years, and we’re delighted to be back again this year working with Avalon Bars & Events and creating a unique experience for festival goers.
“It’s going to be a very exciting year for us – we already have contracts agreed for a variety of events across the UK along with new brand partnerships as part of our brand activation and awareness offering.”
Arribar! – part of the Best Parties Ever group – provides and operates bars from one-off events to festival arenas, offering full bar management from design concepts to theming, scenery and catering. It is supported by sister companies Best Parties Ever and Tapenade.
