Ex-bartender sets up agency for brands and bars

Nick WorthingtonMarketer and former bartender Nick Worthington (pictured) has launched his own marketing and strategy agency specialising in drinks brands and bars.

The agency, called Original, will help businesses to develop bars and brands, whether small or global, from inception through to launch and growth.

Nick has 14 years’ expertise in the drinks industry and has worked across a broad spectrum of areas, most recently managing Appleton Estate rums and Bulldog Gin.

He began his career as a bartender in London bars such as The Player, Kensington Roof Gardens, The Light Bar at St Martin’s Lane Hotel and Abigail’s Party before becoming bar manager of Adam Street Members Club and Putney Bridge Bar and Restaurant.

After running his own bar, The Arbiter in Fulham, he developed his brand management skills at drinks company Inspirit Brands and then J Wray & Nephew UK.

His new agency is aimed at helping brands and bars that do not have a large marketing department to hand, brands that are starting out or brands that have reached a point where they have hit a growth barrier and need strategic direction.

He describes Original’s services as being akin to an outsourced marketing department through to offering brand consultancy.
