Scottish bar and restaurant group Buzzworks Holdings has launched a recruitment drive to support its expansion.

It is holding a recruitment event this evening (August 9) in Kilmarnock at one of its venues, The Long House, as part of its efforts to fill 40 roles across its business, including bartenders.

Buzzworks has just opened its first venue outside of Ayrshire – The Coach House in Bridge of Weir in Renfrewshire – and has set its sights on further growth and development.

Its portfolio also includes Scotts in Troon and Largs, Elliots in Prestwick, Lido in Troon and Prestwick, The Mill House in Stewarton, The Corner House in Kilwinning and Treehouse in Ayr.

Careers on offer include bartenders, front of house, senior managerial roles and chefs of all levels. Buzzworks is ranked number 40 in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for.

Managing director Kenny Blair (pictured) said: “We are looking for the best in the business to come and join our growing family at our latest venue The Coach House and across Buzzworks’ Ayrshire portfolio.

“We believe that our employees should enjoy their jobs, so we offer excellent rewards, flexible working hours and competitive salaries.

“From industry-leading training and development programmes to an annual celebration exclusive to employees and a pioneering pro-social bonus scheme, we are leading the way as an employer within the hospitality sector.

“The majority of current vacancies are in our kitchens and we are looking for chefs who are passionate about good food and want to work with the best.

“We are committed to making people feel great through hospitality – it’s a career which offers instant gratification so if you are up for the challenge we would love to hear from you.”

Tonight’s recruitment event takes place at The Long House at 130 Titchfield Street from 6pm to 8pm. Attendees will be able to meet the management team for a short interview and learn more about the exciting opportunities on offer.
