Expansion plan for Revolution bars after refinancing

Revolution ReadingInventive Leisure is on course for expanding its Revolucion De Cuba and Revolution bars after refinancing its bank facilities.

It announced today that it was now looking to further extend its estate by securing new bars for both the core Revolution brand and its rum-inspired Revolucion De Cuba concept in London and regional cities.

Inventive Leisure is currently midway through a £10million “Evolution” programme to invest in refurbishing its Revolution bars which is due for completion by May. Sites already transformed include Reading’s (pictured).

After “high-end” transformations at these sites, sales are currently up by around 20%.

Inventive Leisure has also reported that its bars experienced continued strong trading in December.

Chief executive Mark McQuater said: “We are delighted to have successfully re-financed our bank facilities following continued growth across the Revolucion De Cuba and Revolution brands.

“We enter 2014 in a very strong trading position and look forward to continued innovation and growth.”
