The New Inventive Bar Company has announced plans to open more of its rum-filled, Havana-inspired Revoluciòn de Cuba bars.

With five sites for the brand already in the UK, it intends to acquire 12 new locations over the next two years in both the UK and Ireland, either freehold or leasehold, with an existing license preferred.

All types of properties will be considered but the preference is for character buildings in line with its brand values. It needs sites of 6,000 to 16,0000 square feet including sites split over two levels with at least 3,000 square feet on the ground floor.

It follows The New Inventive Bar Company’s £10million investment in its core Revolution bar brand through an “Evolution” programme which has proved a successful boost for the business.

Godfrey Russell, director of property at The New Inventive Bar Company, said: “From its initial launch in 2011, the Revoluciòn de Cuba brand has enjoyed unprecedented success.

“The brand offers customers a unique music and entertainment experience with premium rums, cocktails and Latin-influenced food served in a relaxed, fun environment, with the delivery of exceptional customer service at its core.

“Over the last 12 months, the brand has continued to build on this success with the launch of new food and drink menus, an even stronger focus on live music, in-bar entertainment and premium products.”

It has Revoluciòn de Cuba sites in Manchester, Sheffield, Norwich, Cardiff and Derby. It also has “pop-up” versions at some of its Revolution bars.
