Fashion designer creates signature Cointreau serve

Wild Rose Cocktail Simone Rocha CointreauA signature serve has been devised for Cointreau liqueur in collaboration with fashion designer Simone Rocha to tie in with London Fashion Week.

Rocha, who has been announced as Cointreau UK’s “creative director”, has designed a pop-up bar at St Martin’s Lane hotel in London’s West End called Cointreau Privé.

It will run from September 11 to 22, coinciding with London Fashion Week from September 14 to 17, and be open from 4pm to 2am. People can register to attend at

The signature serve, Cointreau Wild Rose, is a long refreshing drink made by mixing the liqueur with a few drops of rose water and topping up with soda.

The activity continues Cointreau’s long-standing association with style and fashion. Simone is the first recipient of the Elle Cointreau Bursary, a partnership between Elle UK and Cointreau to financially support emerging designers.

Alvin Saal, brand manager for Cointreau, said: “We have successfully benefited from an established association with style and fashion and we hope this continued relationship, along with increased investment and marketing of new serves, will further raise awareness and the appeal of the brand.”

Cointreau remains in growth, up 36% in the on-trade year on year, according to figures from on-trade specialist CGA Strategy.
