Fentimans partners Wright Brothers for London Cocktail Week

Fentimans Wright Brothers London Cocktail Week

Soft drinks maker Fentimans is joining the celebrations for London Cocktail Week for the first time with a pop-up with seafood specialist Wright Brothers.

It has transformed the Market Terrace of the Wright Brothers restaurant in Old Spitalfields Market into The Fentimans Apothecary next to London Cocktail Week’s hub and Cocktail Village.

Running throughout the week until October 9, the terrace will be filled with natural botanicals such as those used to make Fentimans’ botanically brewed beverages.

A special menu of six cocktails will include the Torino Tonic, made with Martini Ambrato, lemon juice, orange bitters and Fentimans Tonic, and the Bittersweet Symphony, comprising Bombay Sapphire Gin, Bold British Aperitif, lemon juice, Oxford Vintage Marmalade and Fentimans Rose Lemonade.

The cocktails have been developed with Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands and also include the Ginger Craftsman, combining Woodford Reserve whiskey with chocolate bitters, sugar and Fentimans Ginger Ale, and Who’s The Boss, with Patrón Silver tequila, lime juice, Angostura Bitters and Fentimans Bitter Lemonade.

The cocktails will be available for £5 to customers with a London Cocktail Week wristband.

In addition to the menu of cocktails created by Wright Brothers, Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands and Fentimans, food will be available at all times including fruits de mer, tempura shrimps with sweet chilli and whole salt-baked sea bream with a mixed leaf salad.

A one-hour mixology class, offering twists on gin and tonics with different garnishes and bitters, will take place on Wednesday October 5 at 6pm for £20 per person including food. To book, email info@thewrightbrothers.co.uk.

Jaala Pickering, event marketing manager for Fentimans, said: “This is the first time we’ve been involved with London Cocktail Week and we’re excited to be working with Wright Brothers and Bombay Sapphire to create this unique experience for the festival.”

Alice Henderson, marketing manager for Wright Brothers, added: “We’ve been part of London Cocktail Week for many years but we’ve never done anything like this. We are extremely excited”

Located within the original infrastructure of Old Spitalfields Market on Lamb Street, Wright Brothers Spitalfields serves up fresh sea-to-plate dishes in the market setting. It is one of four Wright Brothers restaurants in London.
