Fever-Tree expands mixer range with all-natural cola

Fever Tree Madagascan Cola

Fever-Tree is to introduce an all-natural cola to its range in the UK, expanding its portfolio of mixers suitable for complementing dark spirits.

Released in mid September, Fever-Tree Madagascan Cola is made with ingredients including Nigerian kola nut, Indonesian cassia, Mexican lime and Madagascan vanilla. It contains no artificial sweeteners, preservatives or phosphoric acid.

Packaged in 200ml glass bottles, it is intended to enhance the complex flavours found in the finest rums, bourbons and whiskies.

It joins Fever-Tree’s Ginger Beer and Ginger Ale to build a core portfolio of natural mixers to be paired with dark spirits alongside its range of tonics ideal for spirits such as gin and vodka.

Fever-Tree’s co-founders Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow travel internationally to source ingredients for their products, going as far afield as the Congo, Ivory Coast and now Madagascar.

Tim said: “In response to growing demand from consumers, customers and spirit brands, we’re pleased to be launching a great-tasting, all-natural cola, perfectly balanced for dark spirits.

“Unlike other colas on the market which are designed as soft drinks and can easily overpower spirits, the rich blend of citrus and spice found in our Madagascan Cola will enhance the flavour notes of the finest rums, bourbons and whiskies.”

Fever-Tree is partnering with spirit brands to showcase the mixability of the new cola as well as the ginger ale and ginger beer. After the success of bespoke gin and tonic menus, Fever-Tree will create unique winter drinks menus for bars that will help them to drive sales, showcase their dark spirits and educate customers.

The menus are created free of charge and will showcase serves such as the Ultimate Cuba Libre – elevating the classic mix of rum, cola and lime.
