Cask whisky experts, Whisky Investment Partners, have compiled its top cocktail recipes so you can enjoy a whisky serve this National Cocktail Day! So forget the Mojito, put down the Pornstar Martini, and give these delicious recipes a try.
Old Fashioned
Perfect for something quick and easy
The original whisky cocktail! Usually made with a bourbon, but Whisky Investment Partners recommends trying it with a single malt instead… delicious!

Ingredients:
- 40ml Suntory Kakubin whisky
- Soda or sparkling water
- Lemon
Method:
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Add the whisky and stir with a spoon to cool it.
- Top up with soda and stir. Garnish with lemon.
Scotch Mint Julep
Perfect for a first timer

Ingredients:
- 50ml Buffalo Trace bourbon
- 5ml lime juice
- 1tsp sugar
- 60ml soda water
- Fresh mint leaves
Method:
- Muddle together the fresh mint, sugar and lime in a tall glass.
- Load with ice.
- Add the bourbon and top up with soda water.
Millionaire Cocktail
Perfect for a celebration

Ingredients:
- 2 ounces bourbon whisky, or rye whisky
- 1 ounce orange curaçao liqueur
- 1 teaspoon crème de framboise liqueur
- 1 teaspoon grenadine
- 1 large egg white
Method:
- Gather the ingredients.
- In a cocktail shaker, pour the whiskey, curaçao, crème de framboise, grenadine, and egg white.
- Shake well, then add ice and shake for at least 30 seconds to ensure the egg is completely mixed.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Serve and enjoy.
Whisky Sour
Perfect if you’re feeling adventurous

Ingredients:
- 50ml The Famous Grouse Smoky Black
- 25ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 12.5ml sugar syrup
- Half an egg white (optional)
- 2 dashes of aromatic bitters
Method:
- Mix the ingredient in a shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 10-12 seconds.
- Strain into a chunky tumbler. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
The Fancy
Perfect for a night with friends

Ingredients:
- 2 ounces blended whisky
- 1/2-ounce triple sec
- 1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar
- 1 dash bitters
- Orange twist, or lemon twist, for garnish
Method:
- In a cocktail shaker, pour the whiskey, triple sec, sugar, and bitters. Fill with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with an orange or lemon twist. Serve and enjoy.
