SCHNAPPS. IS. BACK.…ALRIGHT! Swedish schnapps brand Flävar is celebrating a milestone 100k bottles sold since launch in the UK On-Trade in May 2022 and now seeks to grow its European presence in 2023. A six-figure marketing sum has been invested for retail growth as this retro category looks to take its place on the back bar once again, but this time with an ABV of 25%, seriously stylish packaging that pops and flavours to shake up the schnapps category as we know it. An aggressive NPD strategy is also in place with 6 new flavours coming within the next 12 months.

Founder Rolf Munding says: “Gone are the days of dragging out that dusty old bottle at the back of granny’s cocktail cabinet once a year, and memories of garish neon glittery shots slammed back in the student union. Flävar – a clear vodka-based schnapps – has arrived from Sweden, the UK consumer is embracing the glamorous makeover of this retro liquid. Flävar is inspired by the Swedish concept of Fika, a traditional Swedish ritual that emphasises the importance of connection,  of taking a time out, and enjoying a sweet treat or two. It is time to find your Flävar!

Made with some of the freshest water in the world, expertly crafted on the shores of beautiful Lake Boren in Southern Sweden, this is a seriously smooth and stylish liquid encased in vivid designs and with a bottleneck proudly emblazoned with the Swedish flag. The secret to the great taste is award-winning vodka mixed with deliciously indulgent flavours: this is a clear, crisp mouth-watering schnapps – made for good times, for those with good taste, and lovers of delicious desserts too.

Best served chilled as a shot, (tip – keep the shot glasses in the freezer!) Flävar is also the perfect cocktail base thanks to its smoothness. From cocktail newbies to seasoned mixologists alike – there’s no limit to what you could create at home and 2023 will see a marketing drive to educate at home mixologists to experiment with different drinks as the trend for cocktails shows no sign of subsiding.

Flävar is distributed by Matthew Clark in the UK. For sales enquiries contact orders@flavarspirit.com
