Soft drinks specialist Folkington’s is bolstering its mixer portfolio with the launch of a new “quintessentially British” Earl Grey Tonic.
The new variant is made using natural bergamot oil, the essential ingredient of Earl Grey, which is blended with natural quinine and other botanical extracts.
Folkington’s Earl Grey follows the launch of the brand’s English Garden tonic water, a blend of quinine, rosemary, mint and cucumber, and provides a further “quintessentially British twist” to the G&T.
Paul Bendit, founder of Folkington’s, said: “We are very excited to be launching this addition to Folkington’s tonic water range. It is a complex tonic water that is crafted to pair best with classic London Dry gins, vodkas as well as light and golden spirits.
“Earl Grey is recognised the world over and, like the Gin & Tonic itself, traces its origins back to Britain”.
Partnering with mobile gin bar Mama Gin, the inaugural servings of a G&T made with Folkington’s Earl Grey tonic water were at London Fashion Week 2019. The official trade launch will take place at Manchester’s Northern Restaurant & Bar show.
