A fourth site is set to open for the Grind coffee and cocktail bar concept in London, with a new shift into food.
London Grind opens this week on Bankside, next to Borough Market at London Bridge, with a specialisation in brunch-style dishes inspired by Melbourne, “the brunch capital of the world”.
It will offer the likes of poached eggs with quinoa and Datterini tomatoes, and one-pan eggs with baby spinach and pistachio.
Evening meals will include dishes like pan-fried red mullet, cannellini beans and Swiss chard, or rich lamb stew with spinach gnudi, as well as cheeses, meats and exceptional oak-smoked salmon. Ingredients will be sourced fresh from Borough Market every morning and change with the season.
It will be the largest Grind site after the success of Shoreditch Grind (pictured), which opened four years ago, and the more recent Soho Grind and Holborn Grind.
The bars are well-known for their high-quality coffee and music, with a recording studio as part of its site in Shoreditch. Their cocktails include the signature Grind Espresso Martini.
The new site at London Bridge will serve a small list of signature cocktails as well as beer from Fourpure brewery in Bermondsey, south London.
It is also drawing on the capital’s gin heritage, offering a gin tasting list, offering the options of a Pink Gin, a Collins or a gin and tonic, each paired with a bespoke garnish.
