Frizzenti to unveil the first of its new bars in Birmingham

Leading wine brand Frizzenti is to unveil the first of its modular bars by British designer Paul Crofts as part of a new retail and dining development in Birmingham.

The Fizz! Bar will offer sparkling and still wines on tap, prosecco, Italian tapas, high-quality coffee and pastries. It will be at Grand Central Birmingham which opens in September, integrated with Birmingham New Street Station.

The modular components of the bar, manufactured by design solutions firm Isomi, fit together seamlessly in different configurations so that the bar’s shape can be modified to fit any space in any venue from station concourses and airports to the roof terrace of a hotel.

George Workman, managing director of Frizzenti, said: “We expect this to be one of many Frizzenti Fizz! Bars installed around the country. The bar looks amazing, almost like an art installation, and yet is practical and easy to build in whatever space is available.

“The modular nature is ideal for venues where a quick slick installation is needed to deliver a funky, edgy bar environment that will appeal to young urbanites keen to enjoy a glass of our prosecco, sparkling wine or a cocktail.”

The on-tap wines at the Fizz! Bar meet demand for wine by the glass from people needing a break from shopping or waiting for a train. The Frizzenti system, introduced two years ago, ensures consistent-quality wine every time and reduces wastage from half-empty bottles.
