Funkin expands its range of cocktail syrups

Cocktail innovator Funkin is expanding its range of syrups with the launch of Funkin Pro Beetroot Shrub Syrup in partnership with Jägermeister and Be At One bar group.

Funkin Pro Beetroot Shrub Syrup is made with natural ingredients including beetroot juice concentrate, rosemary extract and spirit vinegar. Like a traditional shrub infused with fruit juice, herbs and spices, the syrup has a fine balance between sweet and tart and its acidity means it can be used in an aperitif or as an alternative to bitters.

According to the cocktail innovator, shrub flavours are experiencing a resurgence in popularity as both consumers and bartenders are looking to explore and adapt traditional cocktail styles.

Deep pink in colour, Funkin Pro Beetroot Shrub Syrup provides the on-trade with an ingredient that allows bartenders to create cocktails featuring rich, earthy flavours and has been launched to provide the on-trade with a quality and consistent way to create on-trend cocktails.

Working closely with Be At One and the Jägermeister UK team, Funkin has helped to develop a unique serve containing Funkin Pro Beetroot Shrub Syrup, Jägermeister, Chambord and blueberry jam. The Jäger Mega Drive cocktail is available now as a top ten drink on the Be At One menu.
