Hot trends from 2022

Looking back at 2022, it was all about ‘the look’ for the pub and bar sector. With social media as prevalent and influential as ever, consumers were looking for that ‘wow factor’ when they ordered a drink – not just in taste, but in appearance too.

With the pandemic in the rear-view mirror, many outlets continued to be smart with the equipment that was purchased when they had to change their offering to just takeaway beverages. Tap dispense systems and slushy machines were used to create innovative, in-house drinks that encouraged new customers to come through the door. And when it came to the drinks consumers were looking for, 61% said they would choose no/low alcohol drinks when out with friends1.

Lifting the lid on the bars and pubs

Looking forward to the rest of 2023, minimal growth of 0.3% is expected by the end of the year, and the bar and pub industry is struggling to recover post-pandemic. That said, the cocktail market has been at the forefront of the recovery and has seen sales and stocking levels grow significantly with wet-led and food-led pubs developing into key outlets for cocktails1. The bar was once the heartland of cocktails, and even though it’s still the drink of choice for 52% of bargoers, hotels are becoming a popular venue too, with 19% of visitors drinking them during their stay1

MONIN will offer practical advice and reveal how these insights and trends can drive sales, increase profit, and support business growth for bartenders, bar managers and hospitality business owners alike in their Summer Drinks Trends webinar.

The webinar will start at 1pm on Thursday 30th March and will be followed by a live Q&A. Those who can’t make the broadcast will be able to watch it back later on demand.

So, if you want to elevate your summer drinks offering and get ahead of the trends, this webinar is not to be missed. Find out more and sign up HERE today.
