A preview of February’s new show for the UK’s pub and bar industry at London’s Olympia
A new trade show designed exclusively for the UK’s pub and bar industry makes its debut this month. Running on February 18 and 19 at London’s Olympia, it will offer inspiration, insight and innovation for licensees and entrepreneurs. Targeted at both multiple and independent operators, the show will feature exhibitors, seminar discussions and demonstrations to provide ideas for developing pub and bar businesses. It is supported by trade organisations including the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers, training body BII and the British Beer and Pub Association as well as holiday accommodation specialist Sawday’s.
Visitors can discover new products and emerging trends and unearth some of the secrets of success behind the country’s most profitable operators. Exhibitors cover design and interiors, technology, catering equipment and tableware as well as food, premium spirits, wine, beer and other drinks. Pub15 will also present business support services including marketing and brand awareness, staff recruitment and training, legal and finance. Confirmed exhibitors include spirits and liqueurs specialists Hi-Spirits and Mangrove, gin and vodka maker Sipsmith, Thistly Cross Cider, wine supplier Boutinot and soft drinks brands Frobishers and Luscombe Drinks.
Others confirmed include design specialist Concorde BGW, pub companies Enterprise Inns and Punch Taverns, brewer and pub operator Greene King, HIT Training, Vivreau water purification systems, food and coffee supplier Nestlé UK and snack brands Mr Filbert’s, Pipers Crisps and Mr Trotter. The latest technology will be presented by the likes of epos provider Bleep UK, mobile ordering app Orderella, and D-Media which provides digital screens for advertising in pubs, bars and clubs. AzteQ will be using Pub15 to introduce an intelligent social wifi and analytics package for the hospitality industry. AzteQ is a leading field service partner providing accredited IT installation and support services for thousands of sites across the UK.
The free seminars and panel discussions will cover all the essentials needed to run and manage a profitable pub or bar. Supported by Elliots, the sessions will offer first-hand knowledge, insight and advice, with guest appearances from the brains behind some of Britain’s most successful bars. Key areas include investment and forecasting, realising greater profit, food and drink trends and marketing and recruitment, with five seminars or panel discussions each day.

Other features include the Careers Lounge, offering insight and advice on how to break into the sector, progress and prosper. Experts will be on hand to guide the next generation of entrepreneurs on their best matched career path. The Taste Table will present new techniques for cocktails and the latest trends in food and drink. There will also be a main bar for networking and meetings as well as a VIP Lounge offering a calmer environment for leading industry people to meet and relax.
