Restaurant group Giraffe World Kitchen has added cocktails on draught, using a system from the team behind Frizzenti sparkling wines on tap.

The new offering features a Mojito, an Aperol Spritz and an Espresso Martini across its restaurants, making it possible for bar staff to create and serve a cocktail in five seconds.

Frizzenti, which is a leading supplier of sparkling and still wines on tap, introduced the new cocktail system earlier this year. Its line-up also features a Negroni Sbagliato and a Pornstar Martini with five more to follow later this year.

Alongside drinks consultancy Drinksfusion, Frizzenti’s founder George Workman (pictured) and his team have sourced high-quality ingredients from around the world for the mixes.

George said: “We believe that whether you are a bartender or discerning cocktail drinker, you will love the cocktails we have created. The natural assumption is that on-tap is poor quality and we want to blow that perception away.

“We are so excited to be serving so many of the nation’s favourite cocktails this summer and as the cocktails are served so quickly, there is never going to be a wait at the bar.”

The cocktails are supplied in 20-litre kegs that attach to any dispense system. They are CO2 or nitrogen injected to ensure the right level of fizz or creaminess. Between the start of this year and May, 50,000 litres of Frizzenti’s cocktails were poured at various outlets across the UK, serving 300,000 cocktails.
