Glengoyne releases custom jigsaw puzzle for whisky fans

Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has created a limited edition jigsaw puzzle, to be enjoyed as the perfect companion while savouring a good dram.

The 500-piece puzzle features a special painting by celebrated Scottish artist John Lowrie Morrison (aka Jolomo), entitled ‘Spring Blossoms at Glengoyne Distillery’.

Offering people a chance to unplug from technology and spend their new-found spare time in a different way, Glengoyne’s jigsaw takes approximately four to six hours to complete.

It was created to celebrate the brand’s unique connection to time as Scotland’s slowest distilled malt, unhurried since 1833.

Priced at £10, the puzzle is available through the brand’s online shop, with a donation of £1 from each purchase going to drinks charities The Drinks Trust and The Ben, which both provide care and support for those who work in the drinks industry.

The bespoke game announcement comes as jigsaw manufacturers around the world report huge spikes in sales, with the demand for puzzles higher than during the festive season and many retailers completely selling out.

Katy Muggeridge, senior brand manager for Glengoyne, said: “Many of us are obviously finding ourselves with more time on our hands right now, and time has always played such a big role in our whisky making at Glengoyne.

“We hope this limited edition jigsaw will provide fans of our whisky with some special at-home entertainment during a difficult time, as well as offering a special keepsake from one of the nation’s leading artists.”

The ‘Spring Blossoms at Glengoyne Distillery’ puzzle will be available, while stocks last, with any 70cl bottle of whisky purchased.

Those lucky enough to also find one of 10 golden jigsaw pieces up for grabs in their order will also win a pair of tickets to a Glengoyne Wee Tasting Tour, redeemable once the distillery reopens to visitors.
