Steve Perez, hotel owner and founder of independent drinks company Global Brands, is offering key workers on the frontline in hospitals support during the country-wide lockdown.
Steve and Global Brands team are providing a free night’s accommodation in the company’s 4* luxury hotel in the Peak District, to help offer respite to those working round the clock in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Steve said: “It has been humbling to see companies do what they can to help support during these uncertain times.
“We, as a business, wanted to say special thanks to those key workers tirelessly supporting our country, and contributing to saving lives in such uncertain times, by giving a little something back to help them enjoy some much needed respite care.
“As with the entirety of the hospitality sector, we have suffered as a business, not only because most of our volume goes through the on-trade, but because I myself own two luxury hotels in the Peak District.
“Times are very hard, but it has been a good time to take stock of what is important, and reflect on the amazing service and support we receive from our NHS.
“We are offering a night’s stay at our luxurious hotel to provide much needed rest for frontline workers in the NHS. With this stay, these key individuals will also be given an award-winning cooked meal delivered to their room, free mini bar and a continental breakfast to enjoy before going back on the front line – all free of charge.
Global Brands is also offering heavily discounted rates to other key workers that need a longer stay, whilst liaising directly with the NHS to see how else they can help staff that have been relocated and offer hospitality in any way possible.
Steve added: “Cooked meals and drinks are being delivered to our local hospital. Working with our hotel produce wholesaler Winster Foods, who has provided all the fresh produce for the meals, has enabled us to deliver freshly cooked meals alongside the first pallet of Franklin & Sons soft drinks.
“We are so greatful and in awe of the frontline NHS staff and their commitment to looking after those in critical condition, we are just trying to do anything we can to show our support.”
The company’s new natural energy drink Mangogo will also be taking its maiden voyage to Chesterfield Royal, to provide refreshment to staff during their shifts.
