Diageo is rolling out a new 1.5L bottle format for Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin to the on-trade, designed to be easily identified on an optic.
The new bottle has been introduced to allow licensees to increase visibility and create stand-out behind the bar, while improving speed and service, especially in outlets with less space on the backbar.
Katie Thomas, innovation manager at Diageo GB, said: “The popularity of flavoured gins has rocketed, and with the number of people now drinking gin out-of-home up by 2.3 million in just 12 months, there is a growing opportunity for the on-trade.
“With nearly 250 new gins entering the market over the last five years, operators can be faced with hard decisions when it comes to what to stock.
“However, as the best-selling gin in the on-trade and with limited space and visibility behind the bar, we’d encourage all licensees to stock up on Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin 1.5L format.”
Diageo is promoting two serves, the Gordon’s Pink Spritz and Gordon’s Pink and Tonic, to help operators expand on the opportunity of stocking Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin.
