Grey Goose brings ‘world’s most intimate martini bar’ to Manchester

GREY GOOSE Camionnette Boulangerie François

A mini cocktail bar is to pop up in Manchester, serving Grey Goose vodka martinis from an artisan French bakery camionnette delivery van.

Grey Goose Boulangerie François will be next to Harvey Nichols on New Cathedral Street in Manchester city centre from Wednesday October 22 until Sunday October 26.

Described as “the world’s most intimate martini cocktail bar, it will serve bespoke Grey Goose martinis designed to each individual’s taste profile.

It is inspired by François Thibault’s decision to create Grey Goose, “a luxury vodka with taste”, in the traditionally brown spirit Cognac region of France using high-quality French ingredients including soft winter Picardie wheat.

The Grey Goose Boulangerie François will feature an art installation display of artisan breads, created using two of the same ingredients used for the vodka: the wheat and the spring water naturally filtered through limestone from the Cognac region.

Designed by restaurant interior specialist Shayne Brady of BradyWilliams, the pop-up will feature a striking bar hosted by Grey Goose UK brand ambassador Omar Sequera, with bar stools for two guests.

Guests will be invited to enjoy a free Grey Goose Le Fizz cocktail at the Harvey Nichols Second Floor Bar before heading to their 20-minute pre-booked, personalised martini cocktail consultations hosted by Omar.

Guests will be guided through a series of “surprising taste experiments” where they will learn about the five elements of taste – sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami – in order to discover which taste profile suits them best.

Their perfect martini cocktail will then be served for the guests to enjoy. Personalised cocktail recipes will be gifted to each guest as they leave.

It is open from midday to 8pm on all five days. To book a free “martini consultation, visit www.greygoose.com/uk.
