Guinness World Records title for bar with the largest variety of rum

The Cottons Caribbean Restaurant and Salon de Rhum has been awarded the Guinness World Records title for the bar with the largest variety of rum!

The bar, which opened in London’s Notting Hill Gate in April this year, sells 372 different types of rum costing anything from £255 a shot or £6,250 a bottle.

The award was presented to manager Samantha Edwards at the flagship Notting Hill restaurant this month. “Our varied collection of rums has been meticulously sourced from around the world, including everything from well-known brands to small batch rums,” Samantha said.

“It’s fantastic that Guinness World Records has been able to make it official that we serve more rum than anyone else.”

To coincide with the win, Cottons has launched a Cocktail Training School where budding bartenders are given an introduction to cocktail making. A limited-edition rum menu has also been created and will be on offer daily until Sunday 16 December at Cottons Notting Hill Gate alongside a rum-based Record Breaker cocktail, available at all three Cottons Rhum shacks.
