Former bartender and Tanqueray gin brand ambassador Tim Homewood has taken on a new role at Hayman’s Gin.
He has become the brand’s head of advocacy, playing a key role in helping to bring Hayman’s Gin and its story to life, including events for consumers and the trade.
The company is strengthening its team ahead of a new stage in its growth in the UK and internationally alongside the opening of its own distillery in London – a move from Essex back to the city where the Hayman family began distilling over 150 years ago.
Tim joins Hayman’s from Tanqueray, where he worked as UK brand ambassador for over three years. He previously worked at some of London’s leading bars including The Arts Club in Mayfair, Kensington Roof Gardens and The Hospital Club. He was also brand ambassador for Jose Cuervo’s premium tequilas.
He said: “I’m thrilled to join the oldest gin distilling family in England. It’s a wonderful range to work with and a huge opportunity to join the team at such an important moment as we work to relocate distillation back to London and strengthen our presence across the UK.”
Brand director Jonathan Gibson, who joined earlier this year from brewer BrewDog and Compass Box whisky, added: “Tim would be a wonderful asset to any team and we are delighted he has chosen to join Hayman’s at this exciting juncture in the brand’s development.
“The Hayman family has a tremendous story to tell, with five generations of distilling experience dating back well over 150 years. Tim will play a key role in helping us bring this story to life both in our distillery and through external events and visits across the UK.”
Hayman’s is distributed in the UK through Love Drinks.
