Healthy Hospo and Brown-Forman support bartenders with ‘Lockdown Lowdown’

Healthy Hospo Lockdown Lowdown

Healthy Hospo has collaborated with spirits group Brown-Forman to launch the Lockdown Lowdown, a series of health and wellness webinars aimed at helping bar professionals around the world deal with the current situation and come out of it healthy and happy.

The Lockdown Lowdown has been designed in response to the effect the Covid-19 pandemic is having on peoples’ professional and personal lives.

To help equip bartenders, Healthy Hospo has developed four digital workshops, covering topics from coping mechanisms to dealing with anxiety and stress, the benefits of good nutrition and how to maintain overall health and wellbeing.

Healthy Hospo is curating a series of expert speakers for the workshops, hosted on Zoom, across three different time zones, in order to reach as many bartenders around the world as possible.

Kicking off on 18 May, the Lockdown Lowdown will take place every Monday for Europe and Africa, Tuesday for The Americas, and Wednesday for Asia and Australia, for four weeks.

The topics for the webinars are:

Week 1: Rest, recovery and opportunity
Week 2: Coping with anxiety and stress
Week 3: Boost your immune system with nutrition
Week 4: Reconnecting with the world

Tim Etherington-Judge, founder of Healthy Hospo, said: “We’ve been waiting to help the industry in every way that we could since the pandemic began and the Lockdown Lowdown is our way of supporting our family within the hospitality industry around the world.

“We’re delighted to have Brown-Forman show their love for the on-trade by partnering with us on this project.”
