Not-for-profit company Healthy Hospo, which works to build a healthier, happier, more sustainable hospitality industry, is offering light relief from Covid-19 by inviting bar professionals to host their own virtual DJ sets.
In these testing times, there is mounting pressure from all corners, and especially from within, for everybody to “do things” – to be better, do better, self-improve and utilise every second in lockdown. This pressure is unhealthy.
So, the Healthy Hopso team have created a different sort of self-improvement, which, they say, is “not going to make you better, but it might make you a bit happier”.
They have asked bar professionals from around the world to log on once a day to provide a one-hour DJ set of their chosen music, with one simple brief: play the music that makes you happy.
The sessions will take place every day at 7pm GMT on the Healthy Hospo Facebook page.
The line-up of celebrity bar pros turned superstar DJs includes: Nico de Soto, Metinee Kongsrivilai, Gareth Evans, Mohit Chopra, Hannah Lanfear, Soley Kristjansdottir, Jake Burger, Ewan Gunn, Pawel Rodaszynski, Amanda Malcom-Brown, Sergio Leanza, Dave Green, Xavier Herit, and many more.
Healthy Hospo has also put together a Spotify Playlist filled with music to make you happy.
