Hendrick’s Gin is to showcase the world’s first pedal-powered cocktail shaker as part of its pop-up bar at this year’s London Cocktail Week.

The curious contraption (pictured) will park up in Seven Dials, Covent Garden, as an invitation to drinkers to explore the Hendrick’s Boneshaker Cocktail Bar.

The Boneshaker uses the rotating motion of the cycle wheels to shake six cocktails at the same time. It will be on display in the bar which will be open from Thursday October 9 to Sunday October 12 from 1pm to 9pm at Brooks B1886 at 36 Earlham Street.

Hendrick’s will also present The No Rush Hour Society. As the clock strikes six, The Boneshaker will circumnavigate the cobbled streets of Seven Dials, in the process mixing an array of cocktails. On its return to Brooks B1866, these will be used to toast the arrival of “the cocktail hour”.

Spaces to this unusual occurrence are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis from 6pm to 7pm across the four days of the pop-up.
