Herefordshire’s Celtic Marches cider stays on trend with new 300ml cans

Celtic Marshes cider

Herefordshire cider makers, Celtic Marches, are on trend with their latest release of 330ml cans. Craft cider continues to hold its ground in the ever-changing market. Almost 11,000 people are employed directly or indirectly by the British cider industry and this looks set to continue as the craft cider market grows and consumers education about the tipple increases.

With a thanking nod to the craft beer market raising the profile of cans, cider is swiftly moving in the same direction. Eagerly shaking off the memories of a once saturated white cider market, real cider is quickly moving from the farm gates to the forefront. Consumers now question a ciders provenance and heritage, asking where the apples are grown, how it is made and which apple varieties are used. Realisation of the sheer dedication, care and investment of time, often generations, each real cider producer takes within the production process gives a true appreciation for the drink. From the pip to the pint, the craft cider movement is picking up momentum and brings with it new life and value to the golden nectar.

Celtic Marches are a single-estate apple cider producer. All the apples used in their ciders are taken from their 200 acre orchards on the family farm. They have full control over their cider production from tree to glass. Having recently been awarded PGI status – Protected Geographical Indicator, you can be assured that only Herefordshire apples are used in their craft cider.

Offering a mix of packaging, from bottles to BIBs, doliums to kegs; canning was the next step in Celtic’s fast growing portfolio. Maintaining traditional values and respect for their provenance, their branding places a modern twist on the range. Using the latest techniques, they draw upon generations of traditional cider making knowledge to produce a plethora of tantalising ciders whilst still staying true to their heritage.

With consumer demands heightening, their lightweight aluminium cans provide a lower carbon footprint, improved storage and display capabilities as well as being easily recycled. A perfect solution for conscious and space restricted venues.

Appealing to a wide range of consumers, cans are perfect for long summer evenings and al fresco dining. Fitting perfectly into a picnic hamper, the range of apple and fruit ciders is sure to be a crowd pleaser whether you’re off to a festival or picnicking with friends. With 5 varieties to tickle your taste buds, these delicious canned ciders have the flexibility to complement a range of sweet and savoury foods. All of Celtic’s genuine craft ciders are suitable for vegans and coeliacs.
