HOME HOUSE OPENS LONDON’S FIRST PUB WITHIN A PRIVATE MEMBERS’ CLUB IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LAKEDOWN BREWING CO.

Designed by renowned interior designer Russell Sage, Cedric’s has opened at Home House, with independent East Sussex brewery Lakedown Brewing Co. appointed as its exclusive beer partner.

Home House, London’s iconic private members’ club, has announced the opening of Cedric’s, the first pub to open within a private members’ club in London.

Located within Home House’s historic Georgian townhouses on Portman Square, Cedric’s offers a fresh interpretation of the quintessential British pub, creating a relaxed new drinking and dining destination for members in the heart of Marylebone.

The interiors have been designed by renowned British interior designer Russell Sage, whose distinctive approach brings together the warmth and familiarity of a traditional local pub with Home House’s playful personality and design-led approach to hospitality.

Created around the simple pleasures of good drinks, good food and good company, Cedric’s will provide an informal and welcoming space where members can meet, drink, dine and spend quality time together. Some of the traditional British dishes being served include Butchers Cumberland Sausages, Monkfish Scampi and Cedric’s Smashed Burger. Members can then finish their meal with a deliciously sweet treat, including Chelsea Bun Bread & Butter Pudding, Guinness & Chocolate Cake or a Cedric’s Irish Coffee.

At the heart of its drinks offering will be Lakedown Brewing Co., which has been appointed as Home House’s exclusive beer partner until January 2028. The collaboration marks the first time

the brand has entered the private members’ club sector, bringing its independent, countryside-brewed beers to a new London audience.

Based on a family farm in Burwash, East Sussex, Lakedown Brewing Co. produces a portfolio spanning lagers, pale ales, IPAs and traditional British beer styles. Its beers are brewed using spring water sourced directly from the ESTATE (instead of farm), with a focus on creating fresh and accessible beers.

The partnership reflects Home House’s continued commitment to collaborating with distinctive, independently minded brands that complement the club’s approach to hospitality and offer its members something different.

Andrew Richardson, CEO of Home House, said “At Home House, we have always prided ourselves on being intentionally different, and the opening of Cedric’s represents an exciting next step in the evolution of the food and beverage experience at Home House. We wanted to create somewhere that captures everything people love about a brilliant British pub, a relaxed atmosphere, fantastic drinks and, above all, a place where people genuinely want to spend time together.

“Choosing the right beer partner was an important part of bringing that vision to life. Lakedown has an independent spirit, a strong sense of provenance and a genuine passion for its product that really resonates with Home House. We’re delighted to welcome them to Portman Square and to be the first private members’ club they have partnered with.”

Jamie Daltrey, Co-Founder of Lakedown Brewing Co. added: “Home House felt like a natural partner for Lakedown. We share a belief that great hospitality is ultimately about bringing people together, and Cedric’s captures that perfectly. Entering the private members’ club sector for the first time is an exciting milestone for us, and we couldn’t think of a better place to do it. We’re looking forward to bringing a taste of Lakedown and the East Sussex countryside to Home House and its members.”

The launch of Cedric’s adds a new dimension to Home House’s hospitality offering and reinforces the club’s position as a destination that continues to reimagine the traditional private members’ club experience for a modern audience.

Cedric’s is now open at Home House, 20 Portman Square, London, with Lakedown Brewing Co. as its exclusive beer partner.
