Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol.

Nicolas Budzynski, Global Operations Director, and Tibor Krascsenics, Global Bar Manager, talk a little bit about their brand new, stunning venue over in Cyprus, what it was like to introduce LPM Restaurant & Bar onto the island and what to expect from their recent opening.

1. What was the inspiration behind your venue?

“When we were first offered the opportunity to open a new LPM site at Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Limassol, we fell in love with the place. The resort is beautiful, newly renovated and provided us with an atmosphere that we have nowhere else within our LPM collection – sea, sun and beach. This also allowed us to go back to our roots, the French Riviera with the glamour of the Mediterranean Sea.”

2. How would you describe your experience in building the business?

“We are discovering a new territory and market; we are super excited as it currently offers a very limited variety of high-end global brands.

“This is our first beachfront location and the idea is to establish a lighter, more airy cocktail menu whilst still having our signatures available. We will play around with flavours and techniques (clarification, distillation, fermentation) that will indulge the most demanding of palates. Our aim is to combine clarified drinks with Mediterranean flavours, matching our food offering and design.”

3. What makes your venue stand out?

“The location, for sure. We are located in the middle of a beautiful garden overlooking the beach and the Mediterranean Sea, with a beautiful outdoor bar to enjoy the great view with a drink in hand.

“For the first time ever, we will also be integrating live music, with the DJ located at a communal fire pit table and close enough to the bar in order to keep the energy going before, during and after dinner.

“At the end of the summer, we will open the indoor area in order to continue to operate when the temperatures decrease. This will look more like our classic LPM, with the addition of a beautiful view on the outdoor terrace.”

4. What are your goals, short and long term?

“With LPM’s continued growth and the opening of this new outdoor concept, our aim is to carry on providing an excellent guest experience while still remaining true to the nature of what LPM stands for.

“Tibor Krascenics, our Global Bar Manager, has built a full bar lab in order to continually develop new cocktails and mocktails that not only keep in trend with the demand of the market, but also provide a platform for our bar team to be creative and trail-blaze new ideas. Our LPM classics will always remain true in form but expect new drinks that are meant to exceed expectations.”

 5. What can UK bar operators learn from you?

“We integrate the LPM concept and values in everything we do in order to remain true to the brand, while adapting our offering to a new market and guests. It is essential, for high-end bars, to keep pushing boundaries of creativity to surprise customers. Whenever a guest comes through your door, they should be able to get to know the brand even more.”

The bar scene is up and coming and the bar community is becoming stronger every year. It will be a pleasure to see LPM Restaurant & Bar being an active part in the growth of this amazing industry.
