Hospitality Rocks returns for post-Christmas party for hospitality

Hospitality Rocks

An alpine woodland is being created in London for the return of Hospitality Rocks – the post-Christmas party exclusively for bar staff and others working in the hospitality industry.

Created by Smart Group for staff working hard over the busy festive period, the “Après-Ski” party will take place at Battersea Evolution in the heart of Battersea Park on Friday January 12.

It will also raise funds for two charities associated with the hospitality industry, The Springboard Charity and Hospitality Action.

Guests can expect a luxurious alpine lodge with a huge roaring fire, 20ft Christmas trees and real Gondola ski-lifts suspended from the starlit ceiling. Dancers, acrobats and contortionists will provide entertainment while guests enjoy champagne followed by a three-course dinner.

It culminates in the main party featuring a live DJ, a casino, dodgems, a vodka luge and the return of Rockaoke, where guests can sing onstage with a specialist live rock band. The dress code is black tie.

Last year, over 900 people from across the hospitality, catering and events industry descended on Battersea Evolution for 2017’s inaugural event, which featured an exotic Carnivale theme.

Greg Lawson, CEO of Smart Group, said: “I want to thank all of the industry’s support earlier this year when we launched this amazing event. It is the chance for us to finally all get together to celebrate, and boy did we! Yet again we will be offering an extraordinary product to our friends in the industry at mate’s rates.”

The event is priced at £70 per person including VAT, welcoming bar staff and other front-of-house staff as well as those working behind the scenes, suppliers, and events and production staff. Tables can be booked for groups of 10 or more.
