Different sakes and liqueurs from Japan will be showcased at the Eat-Japan Sake Experience which is returning to London in July.

Held as part of the Hyper Japan consumer show at Earls Court One, the sake-tasting event will bring together 11 Japanese breweries to help visitors learn more about the rice spirit.

There will be 25 different sakes and fruit-based liqueurs in a variety of styles including sparkling, unfiltered (muroka) and undiluted (genshu), presented at temperatures to suit the individual sake, including room temperature, chilled and on the rocks.

Brewers will visit from across Japan including Umenoyado Brewery, Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten, Yoshida Brewing Hakuryu, Tsuji Honten Gozenshu, Naba Shoten Ginrin, Hinomaru Jozo, Urakasumi Sake Brewery, Sho Chiku Bai Shirakabegura and Ichinokura.

As well as being able to sample and buy bottles of sake, visitors can take part in polls to vote for favourite sake, the perfect sake for a British summer, the best match with British food and best hand-crafted sake. Poll participants have a chance to win a prize.

The Eat-Japan Sake Experience runs throughout Hyper Japan which is from July 25 to 27 and celebrates Japanese culture, from food and drink to performance, design and animé. Tickets cost £12 in advance or £15 on the door. Details at http://hyperjapan.co.uk/category/tickets/.
