Magners Irish Cider has launched a new consumer promotion across the on-trade which will see five winners enjoy a luxury VIP experience at the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The new promotion celebrates Magners’ first year as the exclusive sponsor of the prestigious four-day horse-racing event.

Running from the beginning of January until 25 February, up to 1,800 participating outlets throughout the UK will receive a rate of sale kit to showcase the promotion. This comprises of bespoke designed limited edition glassware celebrating the partnership, as well as posters, bunting, drip mats, and promotional scratch-cards.

To be in with a chance of winning, consumers can purchase any Magners product, packaged or draught, original or fruit-flavoured. Along with their drink, they will receive a scratch card to reveal a unique code, giving them the chance to win one of five VIP pairs of tickets to Cheltenham Gold Cup Day.

Hundreds of runner-up prizes are also available to be won, including pairs of day tickets to The FestivalTM. VIP prizes include accommodation and access to a private hospitality box, including a complimentary bar and a four-course lunch.

Regarded as the pinnacle of horse racing, the Gold Cup is staged annually in March at Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire.

The four-year agreement between Magners and Jockey Club Racecourses will see the first Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup on 15 March 2019 and the in-bar promotion and specially designed glassware have been created to mark this milestone moment.
