Innis & Gunn opens its third Beer Kitchen in Scotland

Scottish brewer Innis & Gunn has opened its third Beer Kitchen in St Andrews, Scotland after successfully rolling out the concept in Edinburgh and Dundee.

The Beer Kitchen has opened in North Street and serves good-quality food alongside a range of 12 different beers on tap, as well as a selection of bottled and canned beers.

The Beer Kitchen St Andrews follows the bar-come-restaurant concept already found in the Edinburgh and Dundee venues, which is proving to be a winning concept. Earlier this year The Beer Kitchen won Casual Dining’s New Casual Dining Concept of the Year Award and the Edinburgh location has already doubled Christmas bookings for this year, with food now representing 40% of Innis & Gunn’s retail business.

David Hall, managing director of Innis & Gunn Retail, said: “There has been a fantastic response to our Beer Kitchens since we opened in Edinburgh last year. This is proof that we’ve found a concept that truly resonates with the public and we’re excited to roll it out in more cities across Scotland and from next year, England.

“St Andrews is a town packed full of beer and food enthusiasts looking for drinking and dining experiences that have passion and craft behind them. We’re certain they will have their needs met by The Beer Kitchen.”

The promise of new Beer Kitchens has been behind Innis & Gunn’s recent crowdfunding campaign, AdventureCapital, powered by Crowdcube, in which the brewer raised £1 million in just 72 hours.

The money raised will allow the brewer to open four new Beer Kitchens in Scotland in the next twelve months, its first international Beer Kitchen in Toronto, Canada, and its first sites in England. It will also help the Scottish brewer increase beer production at brewery and double its turnover to £25 million within the next three years.
